Titles Sequence Analysis Overall

As a group we watched four different film openings: Dark Knight, Black Swan, Jeepers Creepers 2 and The Town.

1. Production and Distribution Companies


The purpose of the logos are to show the audience what companies have come together to create the movie. It can also appeal to the audience if the companies are well known. Out of the four movies we have watched some of the production and distribution companies are:

• Legendary Pictures
• Myriad Pictures
• American Zoetrope Pictures
• Fox Searchlight pictures
• United Artist

2. Film Titles

The title of the film is in the opening so that the audience know what the film is called. Most of the time the name of the film would come after the Distribution and Production.

3. Font Type

The font type is always relevant to the film genre and usually consists of contrasting colours, such as black and white which are used to capture the audiences attention.

4. Timeline

The titles sequence timeline varies for all different types of film.
